What is Edmonton Design Week?
Edmonton Design Week is an annual event and acts as city-wide platform, that will transform Edmonton and unify our city by celebrating design talent and showcasing innovation and collaboration across all disciplines.
What can I expect at Edmonton Design Week?
For five days, Edmonton Design Week will shine a light on design procedure, training and unique views through installations, workshops, talks, tours, parties, pop-ups and exhibitions, driving conversation and celebrating all disciplines of design
Who are the designers and artists participating in EDW?
Edmonton Design Week is a free event, open to everyone, showcasing and celebrating the city’s painters, potters, welders, interior designers, animators, architects, fashion designers, woodworkers, industrial designers, architecture—covering A to Z on the design spectrum.
What is the cost to attend?
Edmonton Design Week is a mix of free and paid events, scheduled and unscheduled activities, and performances and tours.
Where will it be located?
Edmonton Design Week, is an offsite festival. Businesses, galleries, residences, hotels, and studios throughout the city will be opening their doors to host events, installations and exhibitions for you to enjoy. You can find the highlights from EDW22 here.

Am I able to participate if I don’t live in Edmonton?
Yes! 100%! Edmonton Design Week is open to the design community at large.

Yes! 100% Edmonton Design Week is a city-wide platform.
Is there funding for events, installations, and exhibits related to Edmonton Design Week?
If you’re looking for funding, we suggest you pursue grants and corporate sponsorship.
How do I find a venue for my project?
We challenge you to be creative and source storefronts and indoor/outdoor underused spaces to activate. If you’re having trouble sourcing a spot please contact us and we’ll try our best to match you with a host.
Please note that we have a limited number of host venues available, so we encourage you to source your own.
What is the plan for the future?
We are building Edmonton Design Week to be an annual event, bringing attention to design in Western Canada.
